Swaddling Blanket

I've tried my fair share of swaddling blankets, so I was suprised to discover the one that I found that worked the best is the inexpensive "Swaddle Me" blanket from Babies-R-Us! I started using a regular blanket to swaddle my son Tyler, but they would never stay put. So then I heard great things about the "Miracle Blanket" and tried that one first, but Tyler would just wiggle his way right out of it. So that was $30 bucks down the drain. But with the velcro on the Swaddle Me blanket, he has a much harder time escaping (lol) and it is only $10! The only complaint I have is that it only comes in either small or large - no medium! So for that period of time that the child is in-between, it doesn't work as great as it does when it actually fits properly. But other than that, it's a great investment!

Hairdryers Rock for Colicky Babies!

Something as simple as a hairdryer can quiet a crying baby? You bet it can! I was shocked when I discovered this, especially because my son was really colicky. All the white noise machines and other gizmos we bought were no match at all for hairdryer!

Kodak Easyshare Z740 Camera and Printing dock – Digital Camera Review

My in-laws just gave my hubby and I the Kodak Easyshare camera and printing dock for Christmas, and I am in LOVE! The camera itself is great enough. It’s easy to use (even a dummy like me can understand how to use it!), but I was completely amazed by how easy it was to print the pictures. Not only that, but the quality of the pictures was amazing! With my other digital camera, I was constantly snapping pictures of my son, but would always forget (or be too lazy) to print them out. Not anymore! Now the only thing I have to worry about is having too MANY pictures of Tyler around the house! LOL!

Recommended Formulas for Colicky Babies – Enfamil Gentlease – Formula Review

When I found out that my son Tyler had colic, I searched high and low to find recommended formulas for colicky babies. Unfortunately, I learned the hard way that there is no magic cure when it comes to colic. What someone swears worked for them won’t necessarily work for another baby. So this is just my experience, but Tyler did much, MUCH better when I switched him to Enfamil Gentlease formula. It didn’t “cure” him like I was hoping, but I did notice a definite improvement in him in just a few short days. It’s a little pricier, but I definitely think it’s worth a try if you have a colicky baby.

Ocean Wonders Aquarium Cradle Swing – Baby Swing Review

I love this baby swing! I did a lot of research before picking out a baby swing for my son Tyler, and this one just seemed to blow away the competition. Even with my research, though, I was anxious to see if Tyler would like the swing as much as I did. Well, I’m happy to say that he does! He unfortunately suffers from Colic (although that magical 3 month mark is almost here and he is finally starting to do a little bit better each day – yippee!) and the swing has honestly been the one thing keeping me from ripping my hair out at times! To be honest, the first month or so he would only stay in the swing for 10-15 minutes before yelling to be let out, but as soon as he started noticing more of the world around him, he started liking it more and more. He LOVES watching the aquarium at the top of the swing and finds the fish in the mobile his personal best friends! He also loves the ocean sounds (although he is not too crazy about the music.) The only complaint we have about the swing is that the mobile/ocean sounds are on a timer, and they don’t play for as long as we would like them to. Other than that, both Tyler and I highly recommend this swing!

Hello!

I've always liked writing reviews about different products, and now that I'm a mother I've discovered that I really want to share my love for certain products with others - things that have made motherhood a bit easier for me.
